Bombe Style Three Drawer Chest of Drawers in Oak

An early 20th century oak bombe chest of drawers with shaped front, standing on carved hoof front feet.  It has been fully stripped back, and a subtle paint wash applied with a clear wax to protect.

Copper wax highlights the stunning handles and adds to the glamorous finish.  With wooden bases to all the drawers, the bottom two have been painted internally in a soft cream to complement the exterior finish.

The whole piece has been treated to a hemp base salve with a delicate citrus scent, which restores and revives the wood.

A beautiful piece, featuring sweeping rounded edges to the sides, whilst the curved drawer fronts create that distinctive shape.  The base completes the look with its fluid lines and carved centre. The styling of this gorgeous chest of drawers has been inspired by classical French furniture, such as that seen in Beauty and The Beast.

Nationwide delivery is available.

We arrange delivery with one of our trusted furniture couriers - this will generally be a one-man service and help will be needed to unload the item at the buyer’s home.  If a two-man service is required there may be an extra charge. 

We charge a flat rate of £60 for delivery to mainland UK.  For Highlands, Islands and Ireland, please contact us for an accurate quote prior to purchase.

Collection is also welcome near Reading.  For smaller items we send via an insured postal courier.
